life notes; flaws and all

a daily breath...

A thought du jour, my daily breath includes collected and conceived observations, questions of life, fortune cookie philosophies, reminders, messages of peace and simplicity, unsolicited advice, inspirations, quotes and words that got me thinking. They may get you thinking too . . .

I'm like a pencil;
sometimes sharp,
most days
well-rounded,
other times
dull or
occasionally
broken.
Still I write.

   Should I forget where I am, I
only need to look down and see
my feet upon the earth. Attached is
the shadow of people I have known;
those who have made an impact on
what I am, and where I stand.
   Wherever I wander, the shadow is
there. Even in the darkest hours,
it waits to be reunited with the light,
to remind me who I am, and where
I have come from.

                     it is
      what it is,
          and might be
     what it can be,
       or has been.
