Be Bold
I shall learn (again)
what it takes
to be me
and trust less the
thoughts
that shake away confidence
and the familiarity of
who I am,
or what I might be (again).
A spectrum of
worry or wonder,
it’s noise and it is nonsense,
and it takes up space reserved
for comfort,
wisdom, and
grilled cheese sandwiches.
Give me back the knowledge
to know (again) what is right
and truthful and
worthwhile.
I am hungry (again).
