a daily breath...

A thought du jour, my daily breath includes collected and conceived observations, questions of life, fortune cookie philosophies, reminders, messages of peace and simplicity, unsolicited advice, inspirations, quotes and words that got me thinking. They may get you thinking too . . .

I'm like a pencil;
sometimes sharp,
most days
well-rounded,
other times
dull or
occasionally
broken.
Still I write.

All The Details

Instead of simply listening, slow down and allow yourself to feel the experience. Let the texture and temperature sizzle on the page, and not just cause your ears to burn. A book takes you into the moment and shows all the details, instead of only hearing about them.

Perspiration, dedication, pontification,
meditation, information, self-adjudication,
do what you need without explanation.
Forget self-doubt, abandon control,
do what you do, and do what you know.
Or try something new; leave your train
at the station, dig deep down in your soul
and find the inspiration.

Rest Up

Midnight is both
redemption and a promise.
The end and a beginning,
all at once. A day or
a night, you divide your time
between what you know,
and what could happen,
choosing darkness over light,
for a time.
Rest up.
Another midnight comes
before you know it.
