a daily breath...

A thought du jour, my daily breath includes collected and conceived observations, questions of life, fortune cookie philosophies, reminders, messages of peace and simplicity, unsolicited advice, inspirations, quotes and words that got me thinking. They may get you thinking too . . .

I'm like a pencil;
sometimes sharp,
most days
well-rounded,
other times
dull or
occasionally
broken.
Still I write.

Simple Things
Posted on November 3, 2019 by j.g.lewisLeave a comment

This world, this life, has become so complex and demanding that we often forget how much easier we could make it on ourselves if we tried to simplify.
We consume too much, we buy more instead of using what we already have.
We spend a lot of time talking, but we don’t listen to what others have to say.
We pretend we are too busy to notice.
We don’t need more; we need less.
Think about it.
It is the simple things we need the most.

Differences

The lives you’ve never led
belong to the people
you will never be.
We are all so different,
each of us comes from
a different place.
In so many ways
it makes us all
the same.

Looking Back

 When will you look
  or when will you see
that the eyes
    looking back
 belong only to thee.
 Are you the mirror
   or the
                 reflection?
