a daily breath...

A thought du jour, my daily breath includes collected and conceived observations, questions of life, fortune cookie philosophies, reminders, messages of peace and simplicity, unsolicited advice, inspirations, quotes and words that got me thinking. They may get you thinking too . . .

I'm like a pencil;
sometimes sharp,
most days
other times
dull or
Still I write.

Enjoy Your Day

Days without questions, or
days without concerns, are
rare indeed. Often unplanned,
and well-deserved, take them
when they come and take
them when you can.
Enjoy your day,
and tomorrow too…

Oxygen replaces
stagnant thought.
We fill our lungs
with the toxicity
of modern life, and
our mouths with
what is convenient.
Our ears are filled with
idle chatter and the
truth or consequences
of a society who sees
compassion and
empathy as words
reserved for coffee
mugs and fridge
magnets. We all
want something else,
but tend to overlook
what may be right
before our eyes.
Open your mind
and breathe…
Exhale more
than you inhale.

You Need It

You might have to wait,
and the delay might be
You may not know exactly
what it is until it presents
itself and, even then, it will
not be all you are expecting.
But it is what is needed.
It is what it is.
You get what you need
when you need it.
What do you need today?
