a daily breath...

A thought du jour, my daily breath includes collected and conceived observations, questions of life, fortune cookie philosophies, reminders, messages of peace and simplicity, unsolicited advice, inspirations, quotes and words that got me thinking. They may get you thinking too . . .

I'm like a pencil;
sometimes sharp,
most days
well-rounded,
other times
dull or
occasionally
broken.
Still I write.

Not spring, not yet,
not the type of cold you can’t forget.
Wake and wonder how we slept,
what has been done, what is still left?
Plans will change, uncertainty,
the plans you made unknowingly.
Emotions always come into play,
when rain soaks down,
we feel the grey.
The time between night or day;
a further chance, another way.

          Behaviours;
how we chose to view
actions, intent, or
  the affronts of others
requires understanding,
         tolerance,
or faith.
        Respect,
like forgiveness, must
  be earned.

 It must be learned.

Can you find the respect
   to forgive yourself?

it only takes
                       one step
you’ve taken many before
you got there
                       somehow
   still
        you keep going

            one step at a time

your direction changes
haphazardly
or with purpose
     drawn to the action or
                                silence
doing what you believe is
right
         or proper

many times your steps
don’t align with others
                     that’s okay
                     it is fine

each of us is going
                        somewhere
all of us have somewhere
to be
         our paths may cross
diverge
              then disappear

but we all leave a mark
