is so important. You feel it.

a decade of days…

2025 is an anthology of thoughts du jour, unsolicited advice, messages of peace, philosophy, poetry, and photographs from the past decade of Mythos & Marginalia. In unchronological order, the years not as important as the dates, each post a reminder (if only to myself) that I do indeed write every damn day.

cloud songs

Curiosity inspires.
    Visions flash,
    sounds sparkle, ignite,
spontaneously combust.

Imagination on impulse,
         intuition essential.

My attention is fleeting, but
can be held indefinitely
        by shiny objects
               and opportunity.

Big thoughts or simple wishes.

      As a child
   they called me
      a daydreamer
    like it was a bad thing.

beyond appearances

Our belief system is as much a foundation, as it is façade.
  How you act, how you react, how you interact with all that surrounds you, is primarily influenced by what you believe.
  Beliefs can prop you up, or you can choose to hide behind them.
  Beliefs can change and, when they do, you will feel the shift.
  Outwardly you may appear stronger, but the foundation can weaken.
  Change happens beyond appearances.

We count days like shadows
now behind us. Dark and cold.
January gone, February now,
it seems to happen on its own.
Everything. All or nothing
gained or learned, or lost.
What do you remember?
If you don’t want to talk about it
somebody will. They always do.

mornings come
           too early
daylight waits
for few of us
others don’t have
the option
       we wake up
and do it all over
again and again
we don’t notice
the night or the
absence of light
    we simply do
       what we do
again and again
always
