a daily breath...

A thought du jour, my daily breath includes collected and conceived observations, questions of life, fortune cookie philosophies, reminders, messages of peace and simplicity, unsolicited advice, inspirations, quotes and words that got me thinking. They may get you thinking too . . .

I'm like a pencil;
sometimes sharp,
most days
well-rounded,
other times
dull or
occasionally
broken.
Still I write.

“An artist is somebody who
produces things that people
don’t need to have.”
                                  -Andy Warhol

We should crave art.
To acknowledge, to participate,
to breathe art in, is to
allow yourself time to be human.
If we don’t take that time,
you become just another
tax-paying citizen (or worse)
who complains about
the price of gasoline,
the foibles of government, and
the music kids listen to these days,
instead of seeing
the beauty.
Art is everywhere,
and it is always there
for those who choose to look,
and those who need to have.

I guess
it’s about wanting.
I guess
it’s about knowing.
I guess
it’s about believing.
I guess.
Though it’s not about guessing.
It’s more about realizing
what you want
and having the patience
to see it through.
It’s not about wondering.
It’s all about knowing as
you continue moving along,
believing in your self
and not all that’s wrong.
No second guessing.
