life notes; flaws and all

a daily breath...

A thought du jour, my daily breath includes collected and conceived observations, questions of life, fortune cookie philosophies, reminders, messages of peace and simplicity, unsolicited advice, inspirations, quotes and words that got me thinking. They may get you thinking too . . .

I'm like a pencil;
sometimes sharp,
most days
well-rounded,
other times
dull or
occasionally
broken.
Still I write.

A day for getting organized
and putting pieces in place
for the upcoming week.

The end of a weekend, and I enjoyed mine.
I stepped away from a few things, took time out
From the every day. I went away, a planned trip
with unplanned adventures in another city.
It is nice to come home to familiarity.
I hope your weekend was as refreshing.
Enjoy the week ahead (and the one after that).

peace

Hold On

Hold on to the bravery
you summon each day.
Hold on to the comfort
you find in your community,
no matter how small. The
support, and strength, we
find in others will lift us
through those difficult days.
Hold on to the reminders
that you are not alone.
Hold on to your self;
you can do this.

night thoughts 3:54
Posted on September 27, 2018 by j.g.lewisLeave a comment

I think about how
we become astonished
in our reality or by our dreams,
and those little things that
command our attention and
and keep us from our sleep at 3:54
Sometimes it’s unbelievable,
other times we believe
what we have to.
Our consciousness defines
what cannot be controlled.
What astonishes you?
