a daily breath...

A thought du jour, my daily breath includes collected and conceived observations, questions of life, fortune cookie philosophies, reminders, messages of peace and simplicity, unsolicited advice, inspirations, quotes and words that got me thinking. They may get you thinking too . . .

I'm like a pencil;
sometimes sharp,
most days
well-rounded,
other times
dull or
occasionally
broken.
Still I write.

Understand
where you stand,
what you do,
and all you can,
even when the road
gets rough
or the surface
uneven.
Take a stand,
knowing
you can
always move forward
or turn around,
firmly believing.
you are on
solid ground.

What You Have

Life
can seem so brief;
days rush by quickly, and nights
are never long enough.
It is not
the never-ending time we were
once led to believe it to be, and
the longer we live it,
the shorter it seems.
Life is
as much about perception,
as it is direction.
You are only allowed
so much time, and can only fit
enough life into your days
and nights.
Don’t look for the meaning,
but make it meaningful.
Life is not
what you had,
but what you have.

Pay attention to
where it all goes.
