a daily breath...

A thought du jour, my daily breath includes collected and conceived observations, questions of life, fortune cookie philosophies, reminders, messages of peace and simplicity, unsolicited advice, inspirations, quotes and words that got me thinking. They may get you thinking too . . .

I'm like a pencil;
sometimes sharp,
most days
well-rounded,
other times
dull or
occasionally
broken.
Still I write.

shore

We can move
only
one way on this journey.
On our path we encounter
treasures, gifts,
moments of substance,
and time
worth remembering,
along with the
riff raff and beach glass
that adds colour
to our lives.
We keep walking, we
keep moving, continue
looking for the shiny things
a new tide brings.
You can walk the shoreline
for hours, weeks,
or miles
and never find
a message in a bottle;
but it shouldn’t
stop you from looking.

“If nothing saves us from death,
may love at least save us from life.”
