a daily breath...

A thought du jour, my daily breath includes collected and conceived observations, questions of life, fortune cookie philosophies, reminders, messages of peace and simplicity, unsolicited advice, inspirations, quotes and words that got me thinking. They may get you thinking too . . .

I'm like a pencil;
sometimes sharp,
most days
well-rounded,
other times
dull or
occasionally
broken.
Still I write.

night thoughts 2:03

Them that shall know are often
the last to notice, and those that
do should be mindful that foresight
is neither as accurate nor as
compelling as what plays out in
real time. Dream as you do at 2:03;
completely and unconsciously.
Let the mind fill with all the grace
and grandeur of an undisciplined
destiny, but know the conscience
of the aftermath knows the
realization of natural reflection
and intention.

Mondays are just young Fridays

A new pencil.
A new day.
A fresh start available to you
in every way. New week.
New thoughts, a new attitude,
or different take on memories
from long ago.
The greater the distance,
the longer it takes. There are
miles and minutes to go.
Look at what is there.
Never do you know why
a memory presents itself, but
you should allow yourself time
to take it all in.
Write it down
and then move on.
You never want to get stuck
in the past when there is
so much ahead.

Music Is The Best
Posted on June 3, 2018 by j.g.lewisLeave a comment

Day by day we collect snippets of information, seemingly valuable at the time, that eventually clutter our thoughts. It is not knowledge, but something we know.
Trivia or truth, it matters not, eventually we lose track.
We often forget important things, beautiful things, and stuff that matters. Truth.
Music brings latent thoughts back to life.
  Listen.
We begin to remember little things; our truth at that time.
Music reminds us of beauty, and love, people and places.
  Listen.
You can’t go back, but you can enjoy the memories that matter, or mattered.
