a daily breath...

A thought du jour, my daily breath includes collected and conceived observations, questions of life, fortune cookie philosophies, reminders, messages of peace and simplicity, unsolicited advice, inspirations, quotes and words that got me thinking. They may get you thinking too . . .

I'm like a pencil;
sometimes sharp,
most days
well-rounded,
other times
dull or
occasionally
broken.
Still I write.

Demand Peace

show peace
offer peace
respect peace
expect peace
demand peace

Globally, domestically, locally, individually, we need more than a promise of peace; we need to make it happen.
Show peace in whatever way you can; set an example.
Offer peace, wherever you can, through kindness and support.
Respect peace when you find it.
Expect peace as you make choices to act and react.
Demand peace of your politicians, community leaders, and yourself.
Now, more than ever, we need peace.
Make peace.
Make it happen.

More For You

Take time to yourself today.
Yes, you have to do all the
things you usually do, and
most likely something you
were asked to do, but also
you need to do more for you.

Evidence

Months of neglect,
evidence of irresponsibility,
a conspicuous reminder of
careless inaction, or contempt
for our surroundings.
Temperatures rising, rain
washing away our salt and sins;
random dog shit, cigarette butts,
society’s single-use solutions,
evidence of our irresponsibility.
We don’t change,
but time does. In time.
These longer days, will we slowly
wake from our suspect slumber,
or try a little harder.
Enthusiasm is an option.
It is not spring,
but it’s close enough.
