a daily breath...

A thought du jour, my daily breath includes collected and conceived observations, questions of life, fortune cookie philosophies, reminders, messages of peace and simplicity, unsolicited advice, inspirations, quotes and words that got me thinking. They may get you thinking too . . .

I'm like a pencil;
sometimes sharp,
most days
well-rounded,
other times
dull or
occasionally
broken.
Still I write.

We begin each day with hope.
We believe, or try to believe,
that what we want to happen
will happen today.
Maybe we thought the same
thing yesterday, or the day
before. Perhaps we’ve been
trying for so long, always
hoping it would happen.
We believed. We still do.
And we keep hoping, we keep
trying, we keep showing up.
Day after day after day, we
keep trying to make things
happen because we know
that’s the only way it will
happen.
Keep trying. Keep hoping.
Keep showing up.

At The Moment

Are you surprised by
where you are, or how
you got there? Or here.
We all follow a path of
some sort, whether we
acknowledge it or not.
Of course, we frequently
become distracted and
take turns and twists not
planned, or even realized,
at the moment or in the
moment. But we are here,
right here and right now.
We always end up here,
in the now.
Are you still surprised?

Trust is hard.
Trusting can be
trying,      but it
should not stop you
from trusting,
        or trying.
