a daily breath...

A thought du jour, my daily breath includes collected and conceived observations, questions of life, fortune cookie philosophies, reminders, messages of peace and simplicity, unsolicited advice, inspirations, quotes and words that got me thinking. They may get you thinking too . . .

I'm like a pencil;
sometimes sharp,
most days
well-rounded,
other times
dull or
occasionally
broken.
Still I write.

night thoughts 3:27
Posted on December 10, 2019 by j.g.lewisLeave a comment

Thoughts churn, questions
of how it came to this, even
why I am still not where I’m
supposed to be. A mystery.
Wide awake and wondering
at 3:27 a.m.. Is it the mattress,
which now seems foreign, or
has the construct of comfort
changed? Could it possibly be
what has happened to me?
How would one know when
the parameters keep shifting.

Mondays are just young Fridays

It’s when your eyes become clouded by judgment, that you look in the
mirror and discover you alone are solely responsible for the perception,
and the deception, you deal with every day.
Release yourself from the ideals and misconceptions that bound you to your current state of mind. Look further, past the imposing self-restrictions, to greater possibilities.
Shatter your delusions.
You can do this.

You Know

It’s when you get that feeling,
when you know or when you
believe that you are on the
right path. It could be art, or
commerce, motives, morals,
or relationships.
It is a gut feeling you can’t
even describe but you feel it;
you know it. It is instinctual.
It doesn’t often happen and
it might not always be right,
but just having that feeling
makes it seem like anything
is possible.
You know what I mean?
Follow that feeling.
