a daily breath...

A thought du jour, my daily breath includes collected and conceived observations, questions of life, fortune cookie philosophies, reminders, messages of peace and simplicity, unsolicited advice, inspirations, quotes and words that got me thinking. They may get you thinking too . . .

I'm like a pencil;
sometimes sharp,
most days
well-rounded,
other times
dull or
occasionally
broken.
Still I write.

Come Inside

All winds blow harsh,
January’s breath
seeps deep to the marrow.
Come inside. Leave
your boots by the door
and make time
for stocking feet
and stillness. Find warmth
and comfort
beyond this weekend.

you

be you.
be free.
spread love.

freedom is there,
should you look.
should you care?

love surrounds you,
if you look,
when you care.

you are there.
you are.
you care.

be you.
be free.
be love.

night thoughts 4:26

Between morning and night,
who is to say there has to be
order to a day? What ends up
keeping you awake or causes
you to rise at 4:19 a.m., or
some ungodly hour, may not
seem like such a conundrum later
in the day. After coffee, or when
you’ve had a chance to gain
some perspective on the day,
everything may not be as
bleak or as bewildering as it
seems right now.
