a daily breath...

A thought du jour, my daily breath includes collected and conceived observations, questions of life, fortune cookie philosophies, reminders, messages of peace and simplicity, unsolicited advice, inspirations, quotes and words that got me thinking. They may get you thinking too . . .

I'm like a pencil;
sometimes sharp,
most days
well-rounded,
other times
dull or
occasionally
broken.
Still I write.

We Do Not Know

We are where
we are for reasons
we do not know or
understand.
We may never
understand, but
that is, above all else,
a purpose.

Mondays are just young Fridays

Patiently we wait,
we seem to have time.
Six feet apart, mostly,
we no longer mind.
Physically distanced,
the longer the line.

We are all waiting
in line for assistance
or groceries at the store,
for things we once
didn’t think needed
to be waited for.

Look A Little Closer
Posted on July 5, 2020 by j.g.lewisLeave a comment

Take care of one another.
Who else will be looking
if you don’t bother?
Who will watch over you if
we don’t care for each other?
We now need to look
a little closer. We all need
to see, to believe, in ourselves.
Who is left?
