life notes; flaws and all

a daily breath...

A thought du jour, my daily breath includes collected and conceived observations, questions of life, fortune cookie philosophies, reminders, messages of peace and simplicity, unsolicited advice, inspirations, quotes and words that got me thinking. They may get you thinking too . . .

I'm like a pencil;
sometimes sharp,
most days
well-rounded,
other times
dull or
occasionally
broken.
Still I write.

Don’t we all need
to know more.
Deeper knowledge
will require
greater thought.

Think about it.

Stimulating Misinformation
Posted on March 24, 2021 by j.g.lewisLeave a comment

An immediate pandemic response becomes especially difficult given that there is no absolute frame of reference. As Canada battles COVID-19, as we try to overcome physical and emotional stress, and cope with the uncertainty, the questions remain.
Where are we? What does the science tell us?
   Yesterday’s news is tomorrow’s history.
This is what it is, or the falsification of cumulative principles and guidelines instead of what it used to be. If we can come to a new understanding about context and expectations, we’d realize our lives will not continue as we once thought. The time has come to see if we benefit from where we are going. We have become weak and uncertain in this year of transition even despite our resilience, uninhibited critical thinking in these circumstances, and will to look past our politicians and their blatant creation of future facts with an accelerated level of deception. Living within an unacceptable timeline, we have been forced to accept this tragically dangerous behavior, ignoring the warning signs and persistent questions about sustainable strategies.
There is so little truth, even less trust, and a direct connection between fear and stimulating misinformation. There’s never a dull moment in the daily struggle to find an honest moment of any value. A pandemic is a pandemic, is a pandemic.
That’s easy to explain and hard to fix.
