a daily breath...

A thought du jour, my daily breath includes collected and conceived observations, questions of life, fortune cookie philosophies, reminders, messages of peace and simplicity, unsolicited advice, inspirations, quotes and words that got me thinking. They may get you thinking too . . .

I'm like a pencil;
sometimes sharp,
most days
well-rounded,
other times
dull or
occasionally
broken.
Still I write.

Anxiety

Indecisive indecision
anxiety    realistically
difficult
                     to believe
                as it courses
through thoughts you
don’t want
                    to possess

but you do

rather it possesses you

             Breathe it out
     breathe it through
a decision you make
        and not one
made for you

    Overwhelming
apprehension    doubt
             distrust
       uncertain tension

   Anxiety comes in all
              colours
        and dimensions

Mondays are just young Fridays

Self-discovery begins by opening up. Look at your self.
Look inside, remind yourself of what it has taken to get this far.
You have learned lessons that have already been forgotten, but that knowledge remains with you, subconsciously or otherwise.
   Open up those weary eyes.
   Rediscover what it is there.
Don’t be surprised at what you see, and be less surprised at what you know.

True Meaning
Posted on May 8, 2022 by j.g.lewisLeave a comment

It was my Mother who taught me how to love.
She showed me the true meaning of the word.
Although she is no longer with me, I find it hard to think of her in past tense.
I feel her love every day.
   How could I ever forget?
   Happy Mother’s Day.
