a daily breath...

A thought du jour, my daily breath includes collected and conceived observations, questions of life, fortune cookie philosophies, reminders, messages of peace and simplicity, unsolicited advice, inspirations, quotes and words that got me thinking. They may get you thinking too . . .

I'm like a pencil;
sometimes sharp,
most days
well-rounded,
other times
dull or
occasionally
broken.
Still I write.

afterthoughts

“Have you got any change?”

                And I walk on by
                no eye contact, no
                acknowledgement.

     I look ahead,
     I look down,

we share the same sidewalk.
It is all we have in common.

            Afterthoughts of judgment,
                        mostly about myself,

I am not the only one
             living in this hell.

progress
                 comes from patience
                 we will bide our time
waiting
                 for anticipated results
                 a change in our view
daily
                 we keep looking
                 we keep hoping
growth
                 happens on its own
                 physically or spiritually
patience

endless opportunities

We address our myths or live among them, as we breathe and believe the endless opportunities afforded us in our capacity as human beings.
Poetry resides, whether we are comfortable or not, in the past as much as the future.
Only in the present is it mythical.
