life notes; flaws and all

a daily breath...

A thought du jour, my daily breath includes collected and conceived observations, questions of life, fortune cookie philosophies, reminders, messages of peace and simplicity, unsolicited advice, inspirations, quotes and words that got me thinking. They may get you thinking too . . .

I'm like a pencil;
sometimes sharp,
most days
well-rounded,
other times
dull or
occasionally
broken.
Still I write.

Waste not time,
emotions,
a breath, or
precious sunlight.
Heed the shadows, be
refreshed
by rain,
calm your eyes
when night arrives.
Spirits then whole,
again.
Banish all sorrows,
make difficult amends.
Tend to matters
unresolved,
before
the daylight ends.

       Is it enough to know,
               enough to care?
       Is it? After you wonder,
                              or know,
       it is not there.
       Is it enough to keep
               your intentions intact,
               enough to know
       it’s not worth holding back.
Are you enough, at present,
to take control of the mind?
      Is it enough to realize
                the limitations of time?

                                         At times
                                    your thoughts
                       are all
                                  you can know.
                        Sometimes your pride
                     Is all you can show.
