open space

   left undisturbed
it seems I can sit forever
with a lukewarm cup of coffee
a once-sharp pencil
and my thoughts

   until I need a refill

observations arrive slowly

   a practiced patience

show me the morning
   a sip at a time

Uneasy overcast skies, grey
and gloomy. Those ugly sins
we commit, dust or detritus
of our everyday lives; even
dirty secrets bestowed upon
each other, are washed away.
Because of the rain, the grass
will grow, flowers will bloom
and umbrellas have a purpose.

Indecisive indecision
anxiety    realistically
difficult
                     to believe
                as it courses
through thoughts you
don’t want
                    to possess

but you do

rather it possesses you

             Breathe it out
     breathe it through
a decision you make
        and not one
made for you

    Overwhelming
apprehension    doubt
             distrust
       uncertain tension

   Anxiety comes in all
              colours
        and dimensions
