life notes; flaws and all

a daily breath...

A thought du jour, my daily breath includes collected and conceived observations, questions of life, fortune cookie philosophies, reminders, messages of peace and simplicity, unsolicited advice, inspirations, quotes and words that got me thinking. They may get you thinking too . . .

I'm like a pencil;
sometimes sharp,
most days
well-rounded,
other times
dull or
occasionally
broken.
Still I write.

don’t tell

nobody else
needs to know
i tell my self

there is nothing
to share about you and i

no reason
to tell

unless we can admit
what we think we know

what do you
tell yourself?

My eyes see more than what I’d like to believe. At times weak, I doubt my acuity. Contrast continues to plague my reality.
My vision is impaired, there is so much out there and I can’t take it all in, but I intend to see what I need.
The next step, tenuous at best, might be to the side or slightly off track to avoid pitfalls or people I have struggled with before.
Those eyes, however, remain focused on what is ahead.
I cannot become sidetracked or stray from my vision.
I need to believe in what I see.

Open your eyes.
Look around.
Look at your surroundings
differently. Look at life
with a new perspective.
Open your eyes,
open your mind,
to all that is there.
