a daily breath...
A thought du jour, my daily breath includes collected and conceived observations, questions of life, fortune cookie philosophies, reminders, messages of peace and simplicity, unsolicited advice, inspirations, quotes and words that got me thinking. They may get you thinking too . . .
I'm like a pencil;
Still I write.

logical and chronological
We do not touch the money, now
only digits on a screen. Ingredients
in our foods unknown, or what
scientists contribute to the scheme.
Price at the pump keeps going up,
still our cars can’t seem
to get enough.
Politicians are not worth knowing, or
deeds in which they partake, sin or
scandal widely-known, we
elect them anyway.
Damn truth be told,
between utter lies; they won’t salute
the dead, so many innocents die.
We won’t wash our hands, but
still waste the water
and share the blame.
We don’t care if we don’t want to,
our days continue just the same.
I’ve been trying to push past a few barriers, a couple of flaws, and the
unexpectedly expected crap that presents itself every day.
At times, it feels like I am standing against the stream and all the rubbish and residue from the storm keeps pushing against me. I can’t seem to do anything but hold my ground, or sink a little deeper into the mud.
It’s time for perspective.
Stillness provides an opportunity to look around, get your bearings, catch a breath, and figure out the next step.
Just because you are stuck in a rut doesn’t mean you can’t get out of it.
There is always a way forward.
What are you doing for yourself?
What are you doing for others?
We all share a responsibility.
