a daily breath...

A thought du jour, my daily breath includes collected and conceived observations, questions of life, fortune cookie philosophies, reminders, messages of peace and simplicity, unsolicited advice, inspirations, quotes and words that got me thinking. They may get you thinking too . . .

I'm like a pencil;
sometimes sharp,
most days
well-rounded,
other times
dull or
occasionally
broken.
Still I write.

Say It

A compliment
or criticism
does no one
any good,
if it is not heard.
Say what you mean,
and say it
like you mean it.

See Or Believe

Circumstances, situations or
setbacks are what they are;
just as you see or believe them
to be, but they do not have to
remain that way.
Not if that is not what you want.
Things change, people change,
life will change, if that is what
you want.
Everything changes.
Will you?

Again

Everyday news: guns or a knife.
Daily breath, a nightly death.

Loss of life.
Never pretty.

Someone was killed
last night in this city.

Perhaps, in your city as well.
It will happen again.
It happens, again and again.

A loss.
Nothing gained.
It’s sad.

Even worse, sadly, it will
happen again. And again.

It is not accepted, but
it is expected,
again and again.

Sadly.

There are always questions,
again and again, but
never are there answers.
